How to prepare for installation day

It's an exciting time ahead, but we need you to make sure you do a few things ahead of our installers arriving

If you’ve not done so already, download the app and register your account.

Prepare the site Prepare the site

The installers will require clear access to your switchboard and the proposed location of the battery and inverter.

Provide safe access Provide safe access

Make sure there is a safe parking space for the installer’s vehicle, or at least somewhere safe for them to park on the road.

What to expect on the day

Your installer will arrive on the installation day for a Morning installation at 7am or an Afternoon installation around 1pm to 2pm.

There will typically be two installers on site at any time.

The installers will:

  • Arrive with all necessary equipment to safely complete the job
  • Clean up and leave the site as they found it
  • Need to turn off your power briefly (don't worry, they'll give you plenty of notice when they need to do this)

How long will it take? How long will it take?

For a Standard installation (AC-coupled) it typically takes: 3–4 hours

For a DC-coupled installation or for one involving grid backup circuitry: 4–6 hours

Final payment Final Payment

You’ll receive a full tax invoice after the installation.

Final payment is required before the battery can be turned on.

Scope of work Scope of Work

The scope of work will be outlined in your tax invoice. If the site differs in any way to the photos provided, and the installer finds that additional work is required, they will discuss this with you on the day. Any additional electrical or civil works required, but not previously quoted, may incur additional cost.

WiFi details at the ready WiFi

Make sure you have your WiFi details to hand (network name & password).

The battery and inverter will need to connect to your local network.

Quality workmanship Quality

All installations come with a minimum of seven (7) year workmanship warranty.

If there are any issues with the installation, the installers will fix free of charge.

Need to reschedule? Reschedule

You can reschedule up to 24 hours before the installation date without charge.

Contact us via email or on webchat and we’ll help coordinate the change.

After installation

You'll then be able to control your system. If you have any questions at all, you can open webchat and ask one of the team.

Safety and complianceSafety

All installations comply with Australian Standards and are completed by accredited installers.

The installers will install it, check everything's all working but when they leave the site they will leave it in the off position.

An authorised inspector will need to check the installation before it can be switched on.

Switching the system onSystem on

The inspector will contact you directly to arrange a site visit between 2–14 days after the installation. If anything needs adjusting, we’ll take care of it at no cost to you.

Once the inspection has occured and the inspector has passed the installation as safe and compliant, they will then switch on your battery and inverter.

Taking controlTaking control

You'll now be able to see everything in the app, and you can now take control of your energy.

Waste & recyclingSafety

Unless we've notified you otherwise, you will need to arrange disposal of all packaging waste.

There's typically one or two wooden pallets, cardboard and some polystyrene packaging.

Your old inverterContact Us

If you've had your old inverter removed as part of a DC-coupled installation, this will need to be disposed of appropriately.

It is considered 'e-waste', and unless we've advised otherwise, you'll need to dispose of this at your local resource recovery site.

All hardware has a 10 year warranty.

In the event you ever need to raise a warranty claim, just contact us and we’ll coordinate this for you.
